Get in touch, and get back in sync.
Most people get in touch for one of three reasons. They are ready to book, they want to check whether we can help with something specific, or they are weighing up whether chiropractic is right for them at all. Whichever one you are, you are in the right place. If you already know what you need, the quickest route is to book straight through our Jane page. If you would rather talk it through first, a quick call often answers more than a form can.
Not sure where to start? Plenty of people book a free spine check simply to meet the team, have a look at what is going on, and ask questions before committing to anything.
Take whichever step feels comfortable, and we will pick it up from there.

Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the questions we're asked most often about chiropractic care at our New Malden clinic.
-
Your first full visit is a New Patient Examination, which takes about 60 minutes. During it, your chiropractor takes a full health history, discusses your symptoms and goals, and carries out a physical examination to work out what's causing your problem, and where appropriate may begin treatment in the same session. If you'd like a quick, no-cost introduction first, we also offer a free 10-minute spine check.
-
The free spine check is exactly that, free, and takes about 10 minutes. Our New Patient Examination is £75, and each follow-up Chiropractic Adjustment is £55. You can pay when you book online.
-
Yes, Back In Sync offers a free 10-minute spine check at no cost and no obligation. It's a short introduction, separate from the New Patient Examination (our full 60-minute first appointment), and it's a good option if you'd like to find out whether chiropractic care might be right for you before booking a full assessment.
-
No, you don't need a GP referral to see a chiropractor in the UK, and you can book directly with Back In Sync. Chiropractors are regulated by law by the General Chiropractic Council (GCC). If we think a different kind of care would suit you better, we'll tell you.
-
People most commonly consult us about musculoskeletal problems, such as back pain, neck pain, shoulder and elbow pain, hip and knee joint pain, sciatica, headaches that arise from the neck, and minor sports injuries. After assessing you, your chiropractor will explain whether chiropractic care is suitable for your particular situation.
-
Chiropractic is a regulated healthcare profession, and your chiropractor will talk through the benefits and any risks with you before you start, so you can make an informed choice. Some people notice mild, short-lived soreness afterwards, similar to after exercise. Your chiropractor will tell you what to expect, and you can raise any concerns at any point.
-
Yes, all chiropractors at Back In Sync are registered with the General Chiropractic Council (GCC), the UK's statutory regulator. In the UK it is a legal requirement to be GCC-registered to practise as, or call yourself, a chiropractor. Our chiropractor is Dr William Abbott, a GCC-registered chiropractor (registration number 06222).
-
It depends on your situation, and there's no fixed answer that applies to everyone. After your first assessment, your chiropractor will explain what they've found and suggest a recommended plan, and you're free to ask questions and decide what's right for you.
-
Most people find treatment comfortable, and many feel relief afterwards. Some notice mild, short-lived soreness in the day or two after a session, much like after a workout. Your chiropractor explains each technique before using it and adapts their approach to what's comfortable for you.
-
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing you can move easily in, such as leggings or a t-shirt. Your chiropractor needs to assess how you move, so anything that lets you bend and stretch comfortably works well.
